Skype Took My MONEY!

My hard earned is gone!!! My guilt? I used Skype, added credits to be able to make phone calls and didn’t used it for sometime, but my account was inactive for 180 days.
Skype claims they sent me reminder emails 30, 5 and 3 days before the expiry day, today. I searched for the emails and I had received only one email, 10 days ago. and it was buried in my inbox. But its too late and my credit balance has expired and there is no getting it back. There is no way to prove to Skype that I did not receive their so-called reminders 5 or 3 days ago.
Of course I contacted the Skype support by email and the reply was that as per the Terms Of Service (TOS), they take my money (!), and they are sorry. Oh right. They are a big company and they have in their TOS and I am an average Joe; so I probably skipped the lengthy TOS and ticked the check box indicating that I read it and signed-up to get the service. I guess we all do that.
Yes, we should be punished be for not reading and understanding and remembering every of those articles and paragraphs. May be we should all get a degree in law and a degree in technology before we can understand what we are signing up for. Yes, it is my fault for not being able to understand before saying “Yes” to the world of internet and computer software, or any such services. Skype is not at fault.
I asked Skype support why they do not display a message in their application to state that the credit balance will expire? I use the app every single day, I would have seen it and taken action. No reply to that from Skype.
So if you don’t want to lose your money, read the TOS which Skype has kindly sent me to rub on my wounds.
This is written in our Terms of Service, Article 5, paragraph 5.3:

Hope this will help you to be careful and not lose your hard earned money like I did.
