11% Of Indians Asleep At Work!

A recent survey revealed that 93% of Indians are deprived of sleep while 11% confirmed that they fall asleep at work. As our sleep has a significant impact on our health which then impacts our performance, behaviour, weight etc., it might be a good idea to get good 7-8 hrs of sleep daily.
Many possible side effects of sleep deprivation are known including:
- Memory problems
- Depression
- A weakening of your immune system, increasing your chance of becoming sick
- Increase in perception of pain
- Weight gain
- Heart disease
- Hypertension
- Irritability
- Slower reaction times
- Slurred speech
- Tremors
Some symptoms of above could include pimples, boils, dandruff, hair fall, irritable bowels etc. Its not difficult to imagine that lack of sleep could also lead to sleep at work or even at the steering wheel (or your bike) or simply unsafe driving.
